Site work for a bridge / tunnel in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Procurement, engineering, and installation of prefabricated steel half-through truss bridge structure over Thomas Creek. The structure is a 4.65 metre wide, 38.25 metre span, including cast-in-place concrete pile foundations and abutments. 50 metres pre-insulated watermain (250mm diameter ductile iron), 38 metres of which is attached across the bridge structure and exposed 62 metres of buried watermain, 250mm diameter ductile iron Tree clearing and grubbing the site, stripping of organic surface materials and disposal off-site Approximately 800 cubic-metres of stripping, abutment excavation and common excavation, disposal off-site Approximately 1200 cubic-metres of import structural embankment fill Approximately 340 square-metres of rock armouring on creek bank slopes Site grading, placement and compaction of granular base roadway gravels for multi-use path Asphalt paving 230 metres of 2.0 metre wide multi-use path from Spa-ath Road to the new bridge Asphalt paving 160 metres of 4.0 metre wide multi-use path from the new bridge to Apex Avenue Installation of split rail cedar fence and access gate, as continuation of existing fence previously installed Erosion and Sediment Control All other incidental works necessary to construct the Work.
