The proposed project, detailed in the construction plans and specifications, is generally described as a truck with attachments to aid in the removal of snow at the Crawfordsville Regional Airport.
The Crawfordsville Board of Aviation Commissioners, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders or offerors that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprise firms will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin (including limited English proficiency), creed, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), age, or disability be excluded from participating in any activity conducted with or benefiting from Federal assistance. Bid Bond, Performance & Payment Bonds. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Crawfordsville Board of Aviation Commissioners, or a satisfactory bid bond, executed by the Bidder and an approved surety company in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid proposal. Contractors awarded a contract will be required to furnish acceptable performance and payment surety bonds in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract price. The guarantee period of performance shall extend for one (1) year from the date of final acceptance of the work by the Owner.
Bids must be submitted on the specified Proposal Form and acceptance by the Sponsor shall constitute a Contract. The bidder must supply all information required by the proposal form. Modification to bid documents may only be made by written addendum. The proposal that is selected will be based on the lowest aggregate bid submitted for the base bid and any combination of alternate bids, if applicable. The Owner reserves the right to select any one of the combinations of the base bid and alternate bids that best serves the Owner'sinterest. Bids may be held by the Crawfordsville Board of Aviation Commissioners for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract. The right is reserved, as the Crawfordsville Board of Aviation Commissioners may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received.
