**As of June 21, 2023, project was awarded to Veit & Company, Inc, awarded amount is $13,954,839.41.** Sealed bids for an underground duct banks construction project Bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, cashiers check or a certified check payable to the City of Rochester, Minnesota, for five percent(5%) of the amount of the bid, which shall be forfeited to the City if the bidder, upon the letting of the contract shall fail to enter into a contract. The Public Utility Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. PROJECT DESCRIPTION - Rochester Public Utilities is upgrading the infrastructure that services downtown Rochester. New ductbanks will support the residential, commercial and Mayo Clinic from the Marion Road substation. All ductbanks will begin at the Marion Road substation. Two ductbanks will end at a Mayo electrical vault, and one duct will have conduits tie into the distribution system along the path, ending near the Mayo electrical vault. The City of Rochester will be upgrading infrastructure along this path due to the amount of excavation occurring. ssue PO or Notice to Proceed: June 15, 2023 Work Complete: December 31, 2024 The TB participation goal for this project is 4.0% of the Total Project Cost.
