5.1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION The awarded contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment, mobilization for the installing of plasma screen monitors in the terminal baggage claim area, installing cabling above the escalators in the terminal main lobby, and receptacle repair at Airport Building #245. The project is located at Santa Barbara Airport Terminal, 500 James Fowler Rd, Santa Barbara, CA 93117 and Airport Building # 481, located at 500 Fowler. 5.2 SCOPE OF WORK Part 1 - Project Location: Terminal baggage tunnel 1) Install 4 plasma screen monitors above the baggage slide in baggage claim. It will require the installation of approximately 100 feet of 2-inch ridged EMT conduit tied into an existing electrical breaker panel to junction boxes wall mounted and reduced down 11/2 EMT and connected to the four 4 x 4 surface mounted steel boxes that are through the wall to receive the receptacles that the monitors are plugged into. 2) All work will be done to code, materials will be new, the wire gage will be compatible to 20-amp breakers as well as commercial grade receptacles. There will be two duplex receptacles in each 4 x 4 box. There will be four new 20-amp dedicated circuits. There is room in the breaker panel for such. 3) A conduit will be run in ridged EMT for CAT 6 DATA line to tie into D-mark room. 4) The contractor is not responsible for providing the monitors to be installed. 5) All finished work will need to be approved by Airport Maintenance Supervisor or their agent. 6) Working hours shall be between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, unless approved in writing in advance by the City Project Manager. No work shall be permitted after hours, on weekends or on legal holidays. Part 2 - Project Location: Main lobby escalators 1) Install electrical and CAT 6 cable for a flat screen T.V. above the up escalator. It will involve the installation of a 4 x 4 recessed electrical box Daisy chained to the existing electrical box above the down escalator. The finished box will contain two duplex 20-amp receptacles and covers. It may be connected with EMT flex conduit to the existing box above the down escalator. Included in this phase will be an I.T. homerun conduit back to room 131 (I.T. D-mark room) and CAT 6 cable installed. 2) As this phase of the project is in a very public location this will need to be done after hours. Working hours for this location shall be between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, unless approved in writing in advance by the City Project Manager. Part 3 - Project Location: Airport Building #245 1) Repair of a bank of receptacles that are not producing the proper current. Troubleshooting will be needed. There are several florescent fixtures that need to be converted to LED. It is desired to have the 277-volt ballast removed and the ballast free LED bulbs installed. This building is currently occupied by tenants. Work will need to be coordinated with the current tenants.
