The City of Altus, herein after called the "City," is seeking bids to construct a stormwater culvert at the Altus City Reservoir. The culvert is 1,751 feet long and consists of three 36-inch reinforced concrete pipes with eight cast-in-place reinforced concrete junction boxes and two triple 36-in headwalls along with other pipe work. Bids received more than ninety-six (96) hours before the time set for opening of bids, or any bid received after the time set for the opening of bids, shall not be considered and shall be returned unopened. Award shall be based on a determination of the lowest qualified bid. "Qualified" is a determination by the City regarding the capability of the bidder to perform the work in good faith, with integrity and reliability as well as the materiality of the bidder's errors, omissions, or exception This project involves the following elements. Bids shall provide labor, equipment, materials and incidentals needed to perform the following work: o Excavate about 19,000 cubic yards as needed to install new culvert. Bed pipe and backfill and designed. o Form and pour eight reinforced concrete junction boxes as designed. o Furnish and install 5,254 feet of 36-inch Reinforced Concrete Pipe. o Furnish and install 93 feet of 24-inch Reinforced Concrete Pipe. o Furnish and install 163 feet of 12-inch PVC Pipe and construct headwall and screen as designed. o Furnish and Install 428 feet of 18-inch PVC pipe and construct headwall and screen as designed. o Furnish and install 20 feet of 22"x13" corrugated galvanized steel arch pipe. o Construct two triple 36-in reinforced concrete headwalls. o Construct one double 22"x13" reinforced concrete headwall. o OPDES compliance and erosion and pollution controls as designed.
