As of April 25, 2023 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on May 2, 2023 The City of Altus, herein after called the "City," is seeking bids to construct a sheet pile retaining wall at the Altus City Reservoir. The wall is 472 feet long with a maximum height of 12.8 feet and is 12,381 square feet with 7,000 yd3 of backfill and 420 feet of cable barrier as designed. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to study all bids for thirty (30) days prior to bid award. Bids received more than ninety-six (96) hours before the time set for opening of bids, or any bid received after the time set for the opening of bids, shall not be considered and shall be returned unopened. Deadline for questions is 3:00 PM on Tuesday April 11, 2023. Send questions to the City Engineer, Johnny Barron. This project involves the following elements. Bids shall provide labor, equipment, materials and incidentals needed to perform the following work: o Construct sheet pile retaining about 12.8 feet tall and 472 feet long (12,381 square feet). o Backfill and compact 2,700 cubic yards of select material against retaining wall (plasticity index below 18). o Place and compact 4,300 cubic yards of on-site material. o Construct 420 feet of cable barrier railing along top of wall anchored in 2-ft deep concrete cap as designed.
