The proposed improvements will consist HMA mill and resurface, sidewalk and carriage walk removal, placement of concrete sidewalk and curb & gutter, structure adjustments and reconstructs, Class D patching, pavement markings, restoration and all other ancillary work required to complete the project in accordance with the plans, specifications and all other applicable standards. A Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total proposal shall be submitted with each proposal as provided in Article of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, prepared by the Illinois Department of Transportation. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. This contracting opportunity has been made possible, in part, by the Kane County Board, through its Office of Community Reinvestment, with federal funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
