Sealed proposals for the following work for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work as set forth in this Advertisement for Bids, General Conditions, Specifications and/or Drawings prepared by HMB Professional Engineers, Inc., 3 HMB Circle, US 460, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601. Time allowed for substantial completion of the Contract is 90 consecutive calendar days. Drawings, Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined at the following location: Parksville Water District 10711 Lebanon Road Parksville, KY 40464 The work to be bid upon is described as follows: Parksville Water District Creek Crossing Replacements o Construction at 10 Creek Crossings - 3" and 4" PVC Water Main, HDPE Creek Crossings, road bores, bypass meters, valves, and other necessary items as shown on the Drawings and Specifications. After award of a contract, the General Contractor will be furnished, without charge, a reasonable number of plans and specifications needed to prosecute the work. Subcontractors and manufacturers and suppliers shall obtain plans and specifications from the General Contractor. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the proposal must be enclosed in another envelope and mailed to Parksville Water District, 10711 Lebanon Rd, Parksville, KY 40464; allowing sufficient time for such mailing to reach this address prior to the scheduled closing time for the receipt of proposals. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Parksville Water District in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date bids are opened. They may, however, withdraw the bid at any time prior to the time and date scheduled for opening of same or any authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified will not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder. All questions concerning the bidding of this project shall be officially answered by the Engineer. All questions shall be in writing or e-mailed to: npilcher@hmbpe.com. Questions will be answered in the order they are received, and all questions and answers shall be distributed to all plan holders through addenda, if needed.
