Site work and paving for a civil project in Camden, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Base bid consist of grading, drainage, 4,200-SY of asphalt milling/overlay, 1,300-SY of new asphalt, and striping for the construction of a turn lane on Dr. Humphries Road for an approximate length of 1,200-LF. Base Bid Alternate 1 to include approximately 4,800-SY of asphalt milling, resurfacing and striping of Mt. Olivet Road. Project information was initially provided by Travis Basnett, P.E. (Alliance) to Will Kannon (S&ME) in email correspondence on December 1, 2021. Mr. Basnett's correspondence attached the following drawings which were utilized in the preparation of this report: "Conceptual Site Plan - Project Dark Star Turn Lane Improvements", prepared by Alliance Consulting Engineers, dated September 30, 2021. "Conceptual Site Plan - Project Goal Post Turn Lane Improvements", prepared by Alliance Consulting Engineers, dated July 15, 2021. The project site is located near the existing Governor's Hill Industrial Park, which is located within the northwestern quadrant of the intersection of Mt. Olivet Road and Doctor Humphries Road, in Camden, South Carolina, as shown on the Site Vicinity Map, attached as Figure 1 in Appendix I. We understand that the project consists of the following: construction of an approximately 1,090-foot-long widened for median/left turn lane at the new Governor's Hill Industrial Park entrance to Project Goal Post from Dr. Humphries Road, construction of a new 350-foot-long entrance roadway into the Industrial Park to Project Goal Post from Dr. Humphries Road, overlay of about 1,200 linear feet of existing roadway on Mt. Olivet Road, from the planned truck entrance to Project Dark Star to its intersection with Dr. Humphries Road. The new median/left turn lane roadway will consist of asphalt pavement underlain by either black base or graded aggregate base course, constructed upon prepared soil subgrades. We have not been provided with site topographical information prior to preparing this proposal; however, for purposes of this report we assume that less than three feet of cut or fill is anticipated for the new roadway section.
