The selected Consultant will work closely with members of the City's Community Development Department. Professional planning and public engagement services are needed to complete the project as follows: The project will provide clear and concise Architectural Design Standards in the Development Code in a format that is readable and understandable to the public. This includes providing standards and guidelines for various building types, architectural styles, materials, features and details. The project should address the "Project Goals" listed on page 4 of this RFQ and will need to include opportunities for meaningful public input regarding the type and quality of development expected in the community. Consultant will be responsible for attending various meeting with City staff and the Steering Committee (Planning and Zoning Commission), participate in the community engagement process, and present the final product to the City's Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Aldermen for adoption. A contract will be negotiated and issued with a detailed scope of work after the Consultant has been selected and approved by the City. The City has $40,000 budgeted in its 2023 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) for this project to accomplish the project goals and scope of work. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
