As of June 20, 2023, project was awarded to R.T. Vernal Paving & Excavating, Inc., awarded amount is $ 1,140,925.90. Project Includes approximately: o 1900 CY of Asphalt Surface Course o 950 CY of Asphalt Intermediate Course o 37084 SY of Pavement Planing o 491 SY of Concrete Pavement Removal and Rigid Replacement o Miscellaneous Sidewalk and Curb Replacement. All proposals shall be sealed and endorsed for the Salem 2023 Street Program and addressed to Mr. Joe Cappuzzello, Public Services and Safety Director, at the address shown above and either hand delivered or received by mail prior to the opening date and time. The bidders may be required to give references and such other detailed information as will enable the owner to judge responsibility, experience, skill, and fi nancial standing. Bids from contractors inexperienced in this particular type of work will not be awarded a contract. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Columbiana County and the City of Salem, Ohio, as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services Wage and Hour Divi sion @ 614-644-2239. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, or to increase or omit any item(s), to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to award to the lowest and/or best bidder.
