G E T Project No: VB21-174G The scope of work for the project includes mobilization of equipment and personnel, demobilization, site demolition, excavation and backfill, installation of new force main and appurtenance, removal and replacement of sidewalk, abandonment of existing force main, traffic control, test pits, utility coordination, removal and replacement of plants/landscaping, and site restoration as necessary to provide a complete force main installation as shown in the contract drawings. Contractor shall verify the type of material, dimensions, locations, depths, and size of all meter vaults listed in the contract documents prior to installation. Contractor is responsible for restoring disturbed areas to their original condition or as shown on the construction drawings. This solicitation is subject to the requirements of the Small Business Enhancement Program. As a matter of responsiveness, bidders that intend to subcontract work on the resulting project must commit at least 50% of the value of the subcontracted work to businesses certified as Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned businesses (SWaM) by the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity; if the bidder is unable to meet the 50% subcontracting requirement, then the bidder must provide documentation showing, with specificity, good faith efforts undertaken to meet the 50% SWaM-certified subcontractor participation requirement.
