Sealed Bids for the Addition and Renovations to the Cumberland Plateau Regional Housing Authority Office Building The project generally consists of a 2,862 square foot addition to the existing office building and related renovations within the existing structure The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the opening of Bids without the consent of the Owner. If a contract is for one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) or more, or if the total value of all construction, removal, repair, or improvements undertaken by the bidder within any twelve-month period is seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) or more, the bidder is required under Title 54.1, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia (1950) as amended, to show evidence of being licensed as a "Class A Contractor." If a contract is seven thousand five hundred dollars ($7,500) or more but less than one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000), the bidder is required to show evidence of being licensed as a "Class B Contractor." Bid security is required to be submitted with each Bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid. Bid security may be in the form of a certified check or a Bid Bond secured by a surety company A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount will be required on this project.
