Site work for a municipal facility in Olds, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
52nd Street reconstruction and utility replacement: Having reached its life span the roadway is displaying signs of fatigue and is in need of full reconstruction including the asphalt, road base and sidewalks. Both sanitary and water mains are to be replaced as well as service laterals up to and including the service valve. 52nd Street is a residential roadway and will require sensitivity to home owners during construction. 65th Avenue reconstruction (Provisional): As with 52nd Street, the roadway is displaying signs of fatigue as it has reached its life span, and is in need of full reconstruction. The road base and asphalt are to be removed and replaced. Existing concrete is to remain and be protected during construction. The scope of 65th Avenue should be considered provisional, it will awarded dependant on overall costs and budgets. Operations Centre parking lot paving: The Town of Olds Operation Centre was opened in May 2021. At the time, the parking lot was constructed to a gravel stage. The Town wishes to proceed with paving the west parking lot and a portion of the main entrance. Work will include reshaping the existing gravel base, asphalt placement, pavement markings and installation of concrete parking curbs. Award amount was not released for publication.
