Renovation of a stadium in Olds, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a stadium.
Upgrades to the facility including mechanical and electrical upgrades, roof replacement, dressing room renovations, further mechanical upgrades, and ice slab replacement near the end of this 10-year cycle. TIMELINE: Project is conceptual. A condition assessment and feasibility study was completed in 2024. Results suggested a total of $15.7 million upgrades are required in the long term (2027-2035). Critical upgrades required in the short term were estimated to cost about $5.9 million - currently a full electrical system overhaul is currently planned for mid-2026 at a cost of $400,000. Individual projects may be published separately once they have been approved to bid for design or construction. Further update in 2026. *Other scenarios explored as part of the assessment included a renovated and expanded facility at a cost of approx. $58.5 million; and an all new facility at a cost of $85.5 million.
