As of August 14, 2024, an architect has been awarded, however, the project is on hold pending funding. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Notice is hereby given that Bay District Schools has need for the professional services of a Registered Architect for the following project: JR Arnold High School - Construction of a new 20,000 sq. ft. Career and Technical Education facility to house four health science and four construction programs to include Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating Technology, Allied Health Assisting, Exercise Science, Building Trades & Construction Design Technology, Dental Aide, Electrical, Pharmacy Technician, and Plumbing. Space types include: classrooms, restrooms, multipurpose room and support spaces - approximately 53,000 square feet. Firms wishing to be considered to provide professional services for the above projects should state so in a letter of interest, and provide five copies of the following information: 1. A letter of interest as stated above, identifying the design team. 2. A current Federal Standard Form 330 3. Proof of professional liability insurance for $1 million per occurrence and $2 million per aggregate The Professional Services Selection Committee will review proposals on Monday, May 3rd, at 10:00 AM in the Facilities Department to shortlist applicants for interview. Interviews will be conducted on Tuesday, May 8, 2023, beginning at 8:00 AM in the Nelson Building. The committee's recommendation will be presented to the School Board at the May 23, 2023 School Board Meeting.
