Sealed bids for the Jersey - South 8th to South 9th Water & Sewer Extension (MR 673U) Project in the City of Quincy, Adams County, Illinois, described herein will be received at the office of the City Clerk, Suite 129, 730 Maine Street, City Hall, Quincy, Illinois 62301 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 3rd , 2023, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Council Chamber. The City of Quincy's MR 673U Project consists of installing 351 feet of 6 inch water main, 1 fire hydrant, 316 feet of 4 inch, 402 feet of 8 inch, and 14 feet of 12 inch sanitary sewers, 3 manholes, 1 inlet, and related improvements. All bids shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the "Proposal Bid" form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the city of Quincy, or a bank cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
