Location and Description. The Project is located at Hilltop Circle and Oak View Circle in the Jackson Oaks neighborhood in Morgan Hill, CA 95037, and is described as follows: Perform all work relating to the replacement of an existing 8-inch water main with a new 8 Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) water main along Oak View Circle and Hilltop Circle. Additional work included but not limited to: connections to existing mains, transferring water services to new main, new fire hydrants, abandoning existing main, testing and chlorination, and pavement restoration. Estimated Cost. The estimated construction cost is $700,000. DIR Registration. City will not accept a Bid Proposal from or enter into the Contract with a bidder, without proof that the bidder and its Subcontractors are registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, subject to limited legal exceptions. Traffic stripes (traffic lines) and pavement markings shall be thermoplastic applied in conformance with the provisions in Section 84, Traffic Stripes and Pavement Markings, ofthe Standard Specifications and these technical provisions,Traffic stripes and pavement markings shall be replaced in-kind following completion of trench restoration work and slurry sealing pavement. Traffic stripes or markings damaged by Contractor shall also be replaced in kind. The Contractor shall document existing stripes and markings before removal. Traffic stripe and pavement marking shall be replaced in their entirety prior to opening traffic.
