Site work and paving for a civil project in Oakdale, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Curbs, Asphalt Pulverizing, Grade and Surface The Work for which Bids are asked includes the following: Contract 1 (Base Bid) - Pulverization/Removal of approximately 41,850 sf of existing asphalt surface, undercutting approximately 6" of existing base on E. Cougar, excavation below subgrade (EBS) as applicable, fine grading, paving 9" doweled concrete pavement, construction of approximately 900 linear feet of curb and gutter, adjusting manholes and water valves where necessary, traffic control, and site restoration. Alternate 1 is to pave Bobcat with two 3" lifts of asphalt pavement. Alternate 2 is to mill the existing asphalt pavement and stockpile the millings at the Village Water Tower approximately 0.5 miles from the project site. The E. Cougar Drive and Bobcat Street Reconstruction Project is a Municipal Street Improvement Program (MSILT) project. The MSILT is a component of the Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP). There are no prevailing wage rates for this contract Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent of the maximum bid price, payable to the Owner as a guaranty that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract Documents and furnish the required contract security. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract Documents and provide the required contract security within 15 days after the Notice of Award, the Owner may annul the Notice of Award and the Bid Security will be forfeited. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the Owner, will best serve the interest of the Owner. Site preparation for grading o Coordinate underground utility locating services with the Utility Owners. o Coordinate vehicle and postal access to private properties during construction. o Clear and grub as necessary for the proposed widening on Bobcat Street. o Install erosion control measures. o Remove existing pavement from E. Cougar and Bobcat as plans specify. o Remove existing curb and gutter as plans specify Grading and Road Construction o Undercut existing base on E. Cougar. o Excavate below subgrade/install breaker run where necessary o Finish grade both roads o Install 24" concrete curb and gutter on both roads o Pave E. Cougar and Bobcat with 9" doweled concrete o Install storm sewer grate inlet. o Adjust sanitary sewer manholes o Adjust water valves o Alternate bid item 1 - An alternate bid option is to install asphalt pavement on Bobcat instead of concrete. o Alternate bid item 2 - An alternate bid option is to replace existing manhole rims and valves in lieu of exercising. o Alternate bid item 3 - An alternate bid option is to mill the existing asphalt pavement and stockpile the millings at the Village Water Tower Restoration o Restore driveways so they match new final road grade. o Seed and mulch any remaining disturbed areas.
