Site work for a water / sewer project in Savannah, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Barnett Drive Outfall Pipe Replacement The project is located in unincorporated Chatham County on the earth berm/ roadway which extends from the end of McIntosh Drive on the Isle of Hope. The project site it the location of an existing cross drain pipe which passes the runoff from a substantial upstream area to a tidal channel. The work consists of removing the existing cross pipe and tide gate, installing two new concrete cross drains with tide control devices, installing a separate tidal flow control pipe and structure, and restoring the roadway banks and pavement. Compliance with the requirements ofthe NPDES Georgia general permit, with the exception of storm water monitoring, is included. Tidal flows may be temporarily blocked to facilitate the construction activities. Sedimentation and erosion control measures as shown on the plans are to be implemented. Coordination with utility providers is included.
