In general, the work consists of: Demolish (reduce in length) and reconstruct three wing walls and one column at two locations located at entry and exit lanes of: 1. Microbial Parking Garage Lot 38 (545 Babcock Drive) (bldg. #285-0A-9537) 2. American Family Childrens Hospital (AFCH) Lot 63 Parking Ramp (1655 Highland Avenue). (bldg. #285-0A-1425) The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsins prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. This project involves the removal (reduce in length) and reconstruct three wing walls and one column at two locations located at exit lanes of Lot 38 and Lot 63. Demolition will consist primarily of concrete demolition, re-construction will consist of primarily concrete construction, with some minor masonry facade work, and some minor grading will be required at one wing wall. At Lot 63, fabrication and installation of a metal Pedestrian railing will be required.
