Ida 2:00pm 03/06/2024 Project Description and Scope: To provide Complete preventative maintenance including but not limited to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, building performance for HVAC and exhaust equipment listed at the Mount Ida Campus of UMASS Amherst in Newton, MA. Every General Bidder must submit with their bid a Certificate of Eligibility available from DCAMM along with an Update statement before the bid may be considered. Each General Bid proposal must be secured by an accompanying deposit of 5% of the total bid. Deposits shall be in the form of a BID BOND, TREASURER'S or CASHIER'S CHECK payable to the University of Massachusetts. Deposits shall be returned in accordance with the law. Bidding documents may be examined as the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Physical Plant Building, 1st floor, 360 Campus Center Way, UMASS Amherst 01003, and copies may be obtained by depositing a company, treasurer's, cashier's, or bank check, in the sum of $ 50.00 per set payable to the University of Massachusetts. A refund will be made to those returning the documents in satisfactory condition within 10 working days after the general bid opening. Otherwise this deposit shall become the property of the University. Minimum rates of wages to be paid on the project have been determined by the Commissioner of Labor & Workforce Development under the provisions of Sections 26 & 27, Chapter 149 of the General Laws. Wages rates are listed in the contract form portion of the specification book. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of either or both Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended and Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 44A - 44I inclusive.
