Renovation of an educational facility in Arlington, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 22,000-square-foot educational facility.
25-04 The estimated cost of construction for the project is: $1,000,000. The Work of the project consists in general of replacement of EPDM roof assembly with new TPO roof assembly at four roofs. Liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 per calendar day will be applicable after the date of Substantial Completion for which the project is not substantially complete, and for each day after the date of Final Completion for which the project is not finally complete, and otherwise in accordance with the provisions of the CONSOLIDATED GENERAL CONDITIONS and SUPPPLMENTAL STATUTORY CONDITIONS. The liquidated damages amount per calendar day is a minimum damagefigure to compensate the Owner for administrative costs. The general bidder who is selected as General Contractor will be required to furnish with the executed Contract a Performance Bond, and also a Labor and Materials orPayment Bond, each of which shall be in the sum of 100 percent (100%) of theContract Price, PROJECT DESCRIPTION: THIS PROJECT INVOLVES THE COMPLETE REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING ROOF ASSEMBLY DOWN TO THE EXISTING STRUCTURES, FOLLOWED BY THE INSTALLATION OF A NEW ROOF ASSEMBLY.
