In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs. 1.1 SUMMARY The work to be performed under this project is located at Patrick Space Force Base. Patrick Space Force Base is located approximately three (3) miles south of Cocoa Beach on State Road A1A. The work to be performed under this project consists of providing the labor, equipment and materials to, providing the labor, equipment and materials necessary for structural, architectural, interiors, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical work, complete in accordance with the drawings and specifications. 1.2 PROJECT DESCRIPTION Due to the presence of hazardous building materials within Building 561 and the potential for C&D debris to be characterized as hazardous waste, contractor will provide base bid with two (2) bid alternatives for disposal of potentially hazardous C&D waste, detailed as follows: Base bid will include renovation of Building 402 and demolition of Building 561 with C&D waste disposed as non-hazardous waste at local C&D landfill. Bid Alternate 1 will include renovation of Building 402 and demolition of Building 561 with a unit price (cost per cubic yard) to sample, charaterize, package, transport, and dispose of Building 561 interior components (drywall, wood, ceiling panels, plaster and insulation) as C&D hazardous waste. All other C&D waste would be assumed non-hazardous. Bid Alternate 2 will include renovation of Building 402 and demolition of Building 561 with a unit price (cost per cubic yard) to sample, characterize, package, transport, and dispose of all Building 561 exterior components (concrete, stucco, CMU block) as C&D hazardous waste. All other C&D waste would be assumed non-hazardous.
