The Des Moines Water Works ("Water Works") is requesting proposals from qualified companies to provide Custodial Services for our Fleur Drive Treatment Plant located at 408 Fleur Drive, Des Moines Water Works Park Restrooms, Grounds building, and our Main office located at 2201 George Flagg Parkway, Des Moines, Iowa as described in this Request for Proposal ("RFP"). The contract term will be for 3 years, starting June 1, 2023, through June 1, 2026. No price escalation will be allowed during the original term of the contract. Des Moines Water Works and Contractor may renew the original contract for one additional three-year time by mutual agreement. Des Moines Water Works shall have the right to terminate this agreement with a 90-day prior written notice to Contractor at any time for any reason or no reason. Des Moines Water Works has the right to terminate the agreement with 30 days' prior written notice ifDes Moines Water Works deems the Contractor's background or performance not to be in the best interest of Des Moines Water Works. The selected firm will be expected to execute an Agreement with the Water Works to provide Custodial Services for our Fleur Drive Treatment Plant as described in this RFP. A representative from each company must attend this meeting and walk through facilities to submit a proposal. Failure to attend the pre-submission meeting will result in not being considered for the Work. Proposals must be postmarked or received by 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2023. Proposals received after this time will not be considered.
