Damaged Sidewalk Replacement at: 111 N County Farm Road, Wheaton 422 N Cass Ave, Westmont 1111W Lake Street, Addison The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment necessary to replace select portions of existing Agency sidewalk areas in accordance with provided drawings, special provisions and per applicable standards and ADA requirements. B. The work shall include, but shall not be limited to the following (not necessarily in the order indicated): a. Contractor shall demolish and remove the selected portions of the concrete as shown on the provided drawings while following any special provisions provided by DuPage County Health Department. b. Concrete shall be removed to the nearest expansion joint, control joint, or for partial removal, in the location(s) as indicated on provided drawings and special provisions. c. Subgrades shall be free of all foreign and loose materials; replace as necessary to create a proper base for the concrete. d. Compact existing subgrade to 95% compaction (or as indicated on provided drawings and special provisions) prior to placing new concrete. e. Sidewalk reinforcing shall be #3 bars @ 18" O.C.E.W. with ample bar-lift plastic chairs, or as indicated on provided drawings and special provisions to secure steel at center of concrete thickness. Welded wire fabric is not an acceptable reinforcement. f. Approved equal, to secure steel located at center of concrete thickness (or as indicated on provided drawings and special provisions). All sidewalk concrete shall be class "A" (compressive strength of 3,000 PSI @ 28 days) and 4" thick (or as indicated on provided drawings and special provisions).
