This is a requirements contract This contract will be for cleaning and sealing construction joints, cracks and redwood expansion joints on concrete and asphalt streets, described herein, within the City of Plano, Texas. The quantities shown on the bid form are only estimated amounts. Actual numbers may vary. Work orders for the cleaning and sealing of construction joints, cracks and redwood expansion will be issued as the need arises upon the discretion of the City of Plano. The initial period of this Contract shall commence upon the effective date of this Contract and expire at the time the total dollar value is expended or 2 (two) years after the effective date of the contract, whichever occurs first. It is the Citys intent to have the total dollar value of the contract expended within 12 (twelve) months. However, the City shall have the right and option to extend the period of the Contract up to two (2) additional periods by giving written notice to the Contractor of Citys election to extend the period of the contract. Such notice to be given not more than ninety (90) days prior to the expiration of the period and each additional period shall expire at the time the total dollar value is expended or two (2) years after each additional period starts, whichever occurs first. The City of Plano (hereinafter referred to as City) requires improvements under this contract for the following: Sealing joints and cracks with hot-poured sealant rubber compound at various locations throughout the City of Plano. Anticipated locations and map are listed in the technical specifications. The location of this project is at various locations throughout the City of Plano, Texas.
