The work of this project includes: The Work will be located on Metro Transit controlled property. 1. Bridge 9360, Washington Avenue Green Line LRT over West River Parkway, Mississippi River, and East River Parkway in Minneapolis, MN. 2. Bridge 9472A, University Avenue Green Line LRT over TH 280 in St Paul, MN. 3. Bridge 62889A, Cedar Street Green Line LRT over TH 35E & TH 94 in St Paul, MN. The project includes maintenance repairs for bridges on the METRO Green Line LRT systems. The Work for this Project includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. At Bridge 9360 Washington Ave, the CONTRACTOR will clean the LRT guideway deck, guideway approach panels, and expansion joints utilizing high pressure water and collecting and disposing of all residues, seal cracks, and apply concrete protective sealant. a. CONTRACTOR will have access to the Metro Transit hi-rail vac truck for cleaning. b. CONTRACTOR will flush drains. 2. At Bridge 9472A 280, the CONTRACTOR will: a. Remove and replace the bridge transverse and longitudinal compression joints with a watertight pre-compressed foam-supported silicone bridge joint system. b. Renovate and install an existing salvaged median curb cover plate. c. Clean pigeon debris from the two abutment bearing seats and pier caps of the LRT guideway and provide bird repellent spikes on the cleaned surfaces. 3. At Bridge 62889A Cedar St., the CONTRACTOR will clean the LRT guideway deck, guideway approach panels, and expansion joints utilizing high pressure water and collecting and disposing of all residues, seal cracks, and apply concrete protective sealant. 4. The CONTRACTOR will supply the necessary traffic control and obtain permitting from , Hennepin County, City of Minneapolis, City of St. Paul, Metro Transit, and any other permitting organizations. 5. Hours of construction for work below the deck will be defined by traffic control permit restrictions. 6. Above deck construction will be performed under active LRT operations and traffic control. There will be one rail and bridge extended weekend nighttime shutdown. 7. The CONTRACTOR will supply the ITL for all material testing. 8. CONTRACTOR will need rail insurance and On-Line Metro Transit Rail Safety Certification.
