This project provides alternative forms of transportation inclusive of an off-street trail. The Nohl Ranch Open Space Trail proposes an off-street trail in the eastern portion of Anaheim south of the SR-91 freeway. This project will provide residents and commuters an opportunity to use an alternative form of transportation on an off-street trail to major destinations in the area including surrounding schools, libraries, parks, shopping centers and churches. Presently, bicyclists must share the roadway or pedestrian sidewalks along a winding, hilly, four-lane arterial. This project is included int he City of Anaheim's FY 2022-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Per the owner, as of May 17, 2023, they are applying for grant funding for this project. The owner states that they do not have a design team on the project at this time as there is no funding. A timeline for funding, design and construction has not been determined. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
