Renovation of a municipal facility in Conroe, Texas. Design plans call for the renovation of a 14,000-square-foot municipal facility.

As of August 5, 2024, the project is on hold. The project is included in the city's 2023-2032 capital improvement plan (CIP). An architect has been selected. A firm timeline for bid/ construction has not been determined. Draft and design all construction documents for the City Hall/Visitor's Center renovations including a new entry canopy. These documents include but are not limited to plans, specifications, cost estimates for each phase, certain services during bidding phase, and construction services. Scope Of Work: 1. Design Visitor’s Lobby area to include: a. Floors b. Seating Areas c. Entrance Doors d. New reception area including desk and ceiling ring e. Demolish existing glass vestibule f. Renovate wall and door at Council Chamber’s Box g. Install new ceilings in all areas except in the elevator lobby h. Install new hard surface flooring in all areas 2. Design the Community Room, Visitor’s Center, Reception Area, Offices, new restrooms, limited wall and door renovations to Council Chambers Box, install new ceilings, carpet in offices and open areas 3. Design new steel and aluminum door entry 4. Design new building signage 5. Design three (3) movable wall partitions and fur-downs for sound control 6. Design lighting in all areas The method of contractor has not determined at this time. The City of Conroe reserves the right to reject any and all statements and to award this request for qualifications to the proposer that offers the best value to the City, taking certain evaluation factors into consideration as set forth in this request for qualifications.
