As of 6/28/2023, this project will be rebid. This project scope will be for the replacement of a potable water line. This will include furnishing materials necessary, the installation of a new 8" C900 water line, one new fire hydrant, 9 service connections, and abandonment of the existing potable water line. This will include all necessary valves, connections, and all other necessary materials according to City of Angleton standards. The location of this project is on Sebesta Road. The current line is an 8" AC that is no longer performing. The length of this line is approximately 2,500'. All pipe, connections, fittings, and methods of installation shall be AWWA standard. Contractor shall make connections to existing pipe, structures, equipment, etc. as required and shall provide all fittings, adapters and appurtenances required to make the connections. Provide all supports required for a rigid installation. Provide restrained joints at all vertical bends. Pipes designated to be demolished may be completely removed or may be cut and all open ends plugged or capped, unless otherwise directed. Pipes abandoned in place shall be capped with either concrete, blind flange or M.J. plug. Abandoned piping under new roads and structures shall be completely removed. Backfill trench with structural earth fill and compacted. All temporary pipes, fittings and supports shall be removed completely prior to final completion. Lines in service shall be maintained until no longer required by the owner. Structure downtime shall be coordinated with the owner unless specified otherwise. All remaining piping, whether in service or abandoned, shall be noted. All demolished structures and non-salvaged equipment as well as excess excavated soils, shall be removed, and disposed of as soon as possible in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and other ordinances at no additional cost to owner. Contractor shall repair any existing pavement demolished for piping installation or modification work. The pavement shall be returned to existing condition. Contractor shall repair any other surfaces that are disturbed during construction.
