7/19/23 - This project has been cancelled with no plans to rebid at this time. The City of Bend (City) invites sealed Prequalification Applications for construction of the Outback 2 and Rock Bluff Water Reservoir Restoration Project. The City intends to prequalify contractors for bidding on the Outback 2 and Rock Bluff Water Reservoir Restoration Project. Prequalified contractors will submit a bid as the prime contractor. A bid submitted by a contractor that has not been pre-qualified, regardless of their qualifications, will be rejected. This project involves the rehabilitation of two City water storage reservoirs: Outback 2 Reservoir: This is a 3.0-million-gallon steel water storage reservoir that was constructed in 2000. The reservoir has a diameter of 120 feet and is 40 feet in height. Restoration work will include complete removal and replacement of the interior coating system as well as removal and replacement of the exterior roof coating. Rock Bluff Reservoir: This is a 1.5-million-gallon steel water storage reservoir that was constructed in 1990. The reservoir has a diameter of 81 feet and is 40 feet in height. Restoration work will include spot repairs of interior and exterior coating. In addition, the project involves miscellaneous minor repairs to the steel structure including removal of floor curtain support plates.
