The work for this project is Asphalt overlay on several roadway surfaces within Washington County, Washington County,Nebraska. Approximate Asphalt Tonnage = 5,100 Tons. All Bids for the said construction work must be made on blank forms furnished by the Engineer and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security or Certified Check,the amount of which is not less than Five (5) percent of the bid price. Bid Security shall be made payable to the Treasurer of Washington County, Nebraska, and will be held by the clerk as liquidated damages in the case the bid is accepted and the Bidder neglects, or refuses, to enter into contract and furnish bonds in accordance herewith. Bid Security shall be sealed in a separate envelope from the Bid and labeled on the outside "Bid Security". No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date Street set for the opening of Bids. The Contractor, whose Bid is accepted by Washington County Nebraska, will be required to furnish a Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bond in a sum equal to one-hundred (100) percent of the contract price, for a period of two years past the completion of the project The Board of Supervisors of Washington County, Nebraska reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities and technicalities, and to enter into such Contract as it may deem to be for their best interest. The Board of Supervisors of Washington County, Nebraska also reserves the right to eliminate OR add County Road miles from/ to the project based on budgetary constraints. A final decision on the total amount of asphalt work to be completed will be made after Bids have been received, publicly opened, and reviewed by Washington County. The Contractor shall complete the Asphalt Base Repair and Overlay 2023 by June 30, 2023. Liquidated Damages of five hundred ($500) per working day will be assessed after the time for completion has expired.
