Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex Install Generator for Emergency Lighting Iowa at Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex (HTRC) located at 2820 Prairie Meadow Dr., Iowa City, IA 52246. b. The Constructor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment necessary for, and incidental to, construction of this project as indicated on Drawings dated April 18, 2023. c. Work shall include everything requisite and necessary to finish work properly, notwithstanding that every item of labor or materials or accessories required to make project complete may not be specifically mentioned. d. General Description of Work: 1) Project consists of Demolition of an existing UPS based emergency lighting backup system, the lead acid batteries in the system have already been removed and recycled by Others. Existing UPS is already out of service. i. Installation of an Owner furnished 12kW, 480Y/277V, natural gas fired backup generator for the emergency lighting in the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex (HTRC). ii. Installation of an Owner furnished 100A, 4-pole, 480Y/277V automatic transfer switch. iii. Installation of Owner furnished 100A, 30-branch, 480Y/277V, power panel and a 100A, 18-branch, 208Y/120V, power panel. iv. Installation of an Owner furnished wall mounted, 9kVA, 480-208Y/120V encapsulated transformer. v. Installation of Owner furnished generator emergency stop push button outside the fenced area. vi. Provide electrical raceway and wiring within the Link Building as specified within the Drawings. vii. Provide the natural gas supply fed from the existing 2-1/2" natural gas supply line to the hot water boilers located in the Link Building at the HTRC. The gas line shall be intercepted on the roof of the Link Building and brought down to the generator. Stair access to roof is available at the site. viii. Provide a new generator housekeeping pad. ix. Removal and replacement of the fencing around the installation area is also in the project. x. Contractor shall inspect before off-loading, receive, and shall be responsible for the protection of the Owner furnished equipment from delivery till Final Acceptance. Store all materials in weather protected locations until installation. Any damage or loss of the Owner furnished equipment shall be replaced by Contractor at its expense. Work by Owner: Supply and delivery of packaged outdoor natural gas engine generator, automatic transfer switch, two power panels, emergency stop pushbutton and one encapsulated dry type transformer. The equipment will be delivered to the HTRC by Others, approximately July 21, 2023.Generator startup and testing will be performed by a factory trained service representative supplied under a separate contact with the Owner. Owner will be responsible for air permitting and registration with the State.
