The United States Forest is issuing a solicitation for the reconstruction of a fence water crossing, at the Kaibab Nationla Forest, North Kaibab Ranger District, in Fredonia, AZ. All damaged and/or non-serviceable fence materials will need to be removed and replaced with new material. Metal posts and wire will need to be removed from the project site and may be recycled by the contractor or delivered to the metal scrap pile at Tanglefoot Work Center. Damaged cedar posts may be removed from the fence site and left on the north side of the waterway. The length of the damaged fence is approximately 100 feet. Description: The United States Forest Service is issuing a solicitation for the reconstruction of a fence water crossing, at the Kaibab National Forest, North Kaibab Ranger District. Place of Performance. The project area can be accessed from the Snake Gulch Trail Head that is approximately 28 road miles southeast of Fredonia, AZ. The trail head will be accessed using Forest roads 22, 423 and 642. The project site is in Snake Gulch, approximately 1/2 mile from the Snake Gulch Trail Head. Fence materials and tools will need to be hand carried (or packed by horses or mules) to and from the trail head to the project site. The trail head and project site are shown on the attached maps (Figures 1 and 2). 9. Period of Performance. The period of performance for the fence installation is July 1, 2023 to October 31, 2023. Forest closures, impassible road conditions or other unforeseen natural events may require extension of this . 10. Government Furnished Property. Kaibab NF will furnish the following materials: o T-Posts o T-Post clips o Cedar posts o Lodge poles o Timber Screws o Staples o Barbed wire Smooth wire o HDPE Wire Stays o Cable wire 11. Contractor Furnished Property. The contractor will furnish all labor and equipment needed for transportation of personnel, equipment, and materials to and from the project site.
