Site work for a water / sewer project in Middletown, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The City of Middletown is replacing approximately 3,000 linear feet of 8-inch water main on Oak Ridge Drive in Middletown and 200 linear feet of 12-inch water main on East Street in the same area. The main replacement will include the replacement of hydrants and water services. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount shall be required with all bids submitted. Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bond(s) in the amount of 100% of the contract sum shall be required from the selected bidder following award. A Maintenance Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract sum shall be required after completion of work and prior to final payment. Bids will not be publicly opened in the Municipal Building, however, bids will be opened and read aloud via WebEx. Additional information and a link will be provided on our website for those interested in viewing the bid opening via WebEx. o All bids shall be submitted in duplicate on the designated forms using the Bid Return Label provided as designated in the Information for Bidders by the date set and time. This project is subject to the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Therefore, the awarded contractor will be responsible to follow and provide all requirements set by the Treasury's State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF), the Awarded Contractor and all Subcontractors/Suppliers performing and/or providing materials on this project shall be required to obtain a "Unique Entity ID #" (UEI#). To learn more about the SLFRF program please visit Treasury's State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds website. For information to obtain a UEI# please visit https://sam.gov/content/home. It is the responsibility of the awarded contractor to be knowledgeable and provide all requirements set forth under the SLFRF for all subcontractors and suppliers associated with this project. Bid proposals must be executed in accordance with and are subject to the instructions contained within the Information for Bidders. The three (3) apparent lowest responsible bidders' bid bond documents may be held for a period of up to ninety (90) consecutive calendar days or until a contract is signed and then all bond documents, other than those of the successful responsible bidder shall be returned. The City of Middletown reserves the right to waive any defect or any irregularity in any bid and reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof. Bids and amendments to bids received after the time set for the bid opening will not be considered. All bids must be completely filled out when submitted. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the City of Middletown. Withdrawal of any bid must be submitted in writing to the City of Middletown.
