**As of August 23, 2023 this project has been cancelled. All Bids are over the Town Budget.** SCOPE OF WORK : Work will include digging holes, setting posts, pouring concrete and building assembly. The pole barn is being installed in a prepared gravel area with easy access. The Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG) will accept sealed bids on behalf of the Town of Shelburne for the Installation of a Pole Barn, located at the Shelburne, MA Highway Garage, 24 Colrain Shelburne Rd, Shelburne, MA. The materials are onsite and may be inspected. Wage rates for this bid are subject to prevailing wage rates as per MGL Chapter 149, Section 26 - 27f inclusive. This bid is being undertaken per MGL Ch149. A Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the bid will be required of the successful bidder if the bid is more than $25,000, payable to the Town of Shelburne. Commencement and Completion of Work and Liquidated Damages : It is agreed that time is of the essence of this Agreement. The Contractor shall commence and prosecute the work under this Agreement upon execution hereof and shall complete the work on or before DECEMBER 31, 2023. Notice of Award July 31, 2023. Construction Period contract signing through December 31, 2023 The Town of Shelburne is the Awarding Authority and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in total or in part as they may deem in the publics best interest.
