The Bid Bond may be retained by the City of Macon, Missouri, as a guaranty that if the Proposal is accepted, the bidder will execute the Contract and file an acceptable Performance Bond and Payment Bond within fifteen 15 days after the award of the Contract. Bidders on this Work will be required to comply with the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, as indicated in the Contract Documents. The Contractor doing the work must pay for labor at rates not less than those certified pursuant to the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations as indicated by the schedule included in the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall forfeit as a penalty to the City, Ten and 00100 Dollars $10.00 for each workman employed, for each calendar day, or portion thereof, such workman is paid less than the said stipulated rates for any work under said Contract by him or by any subcontractor under him. Section 290.250. The award of Contracts on this project shall be predicated upon competitive bidding, with award being made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Said lowest Bidders shall be determined for each Contract by summarizing the applicable low base bids. The City of Macon reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities in the bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty 60 days after the specified time for receipt of bids.
