The Kent County Purchasing Division is soliciting bids for parking lot reconstruction at the following Department locations. All areas are available for viewing at any time. Kent County evaluates submissions based on the most responsible and responsive bidder. Work to be substantially complete on or before September 15, 2023, with final completion on or before September 30, 2023. Kent County Cooperative Extension/Drain Commissioner Office At Kent County's Fuller Campus 775 Ball Ave. NE Grand Rapids, MI Kent County Animal Shelter At Kent County's Fuller Campus 740 Fuller Ave. NE Grand Rapids, MI. Inquiries Deadline Date & Time (local) 4/21/2023, 2 PM. Work consists of but is not limited to the removal (milling) of existing asphalt and prep work, fine grading to provide positive drainage, installation of 2" of 3C 58-28 for base course and 1.5" for top course, pavement markings (match existing), and site restoration. Kent County desires to have these parking lots closed for as short as time as practical. Once project has started, work will be continuous until the point of completion (weather permitting). Both lots can be out of service at the same time. Dimensions, if furnished, are for general reference only and should be verified by Respondent. Kent County will award and contract for the goods and services in this Solicitation in an efficient and timely manner. In no event will notification of award be more than 45 days from the date of submission. The Kent County Standard Submission Terms posted on the Bid Opportunities page of the Kent County Purchasing Division website are incorporated by reference and shall be deemed to have the same force and effect as if fully set forth herein. PRE-SUBMISSION ON-SITE INSPECTION A pre-submission conference will not be held for this Solicitation. Respondents may conduct an on-site inspection if they so choose. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND Each contract over $50,000 must be accompanied by a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each payable to the Owner (County of Kent) and each in the amount of 100% of the contract price with a corporate surety approved by the funding agency, for the faithful performance of the contract.
