Renovation of a fire / police facility in Oldsmar, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 17,000-square-foot fire / police facility.
Remove and replace approximately 17,000 sqft of shingle roof at Fire Station 54, located in Oldsmar, Florida. SCOPE OF WORK Provide the necessary labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and supplies to satisfactorily replace the shingle roof at Fire Station 54, located at 225 Pine Avenue North in Oldsmar, Florida. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS A. All work shall be done in a professional workmanlike manner. Contractor shall have any and all licenses required in order to perform the Work described herein. B. Contractor is to remove existing roof shingles and underlayment down to the wood deck of the roof at the Fire Station 54 Building, which is approximately 17,000 square feet. C. Contractor is to repair or replace any damaged or rotted roof decking. A unit price is to be provided for an any pieces of plywood which could be necessary to complete this portion of Work. This price and estimated quantities are merely for estimating purposes, as the roof may require more or less decking. It is expected the City will be invoiced for the final, actual amount of decking required at the unit price submitted with the bid. i. Decking is to be re-nailed, as needed, to ensure compliance with current building codes and wind uplift loads. D. Contractor is to install new underlayment over decking. i. Any installed underlayment must meet current building codes. ii. A self-adhering roofing underlayment is preferred in all eaves, peaks, and valleys. E. Contractor is to install new shingles to match existing conditions. i. Shingles shall be new 3-tab hip and ridge architectural shingles. ii. Shingles to have a minimum 25-year warranty and be mildew resistant. F. Contractor is to reinforce gutter seams. G. Contractor is to replace rusted out exhaust fan on Northeast corner of building.
