Renovation of a mixed-use development in Croton on Hudson, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Repair and replacement of existing roofing and related work at the Croton-Harmon High School, Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School, Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School, District Office and Croton-Harmon Bus Garage. All Requests for Information must be sent in writing to the Architect via email (sdavis@kgdarchitects.com) no later than 5 days prior to bid opening. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a certified check payable to Croton-Harmon Union Free School District or by a Bid Bond for a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. All bid security, except those of the three low bidders for each prime contract will be returned within four days after proposals are submitted. The bid security provided by the three low bidders for each prime contract will be returned after execution of the Contract(s) The Owner may require the successful bidder to provide separate Performance and Labor & Materials Payment Bonds in the amount of the contract price and in the form specified in the Bid Documents. The work covered by this section consists of furnishing all labor, material and equipment and performing all work required for the prevention of environmental pollution during and as the result of construction operations under this contract except for those measures set forth in other Technical Provisions of these specifications. For the purpose of this specification environmental pollution is defined by regulatory authorities as the presence of chemical, physical or biological elements or agents which adversely affect human health or welfare; unfavorably alter ecological balances of importance to human life; affect other species of importance to man; or degrade the utility of the environment for aesthetic and recreational purposes. The control of environmental pollution requires consideration of air, water and land, and involves noise, solid waste-management and management of radiant energy and radioactive materials, as well as other pollutants.
