Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Oxford, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Joslin Park Walkway Improvements. The scope of work for the project will consist of, but not be limited to, the following: 1. The work specified under this RFQ and described herein is subject to Massachusetts prevailing wage law. Contractors shall make provisions in their quotation to pay their employees prevailing wages as detailed on the accompanying wage schedule in Appendix A. 2. Furnish all materials, equipment, labor, supervision, and incidentals required to install an ADA/MAAB compliant cement concrete walk per the attached plan entitled: "WALKWAY IMPROVEMENTS AT JOSLIN PARK" Dated April 2023. 3. All work shall comply with the latest edition of the MassDOT "Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges," as amended. 4. Work will include, but is not limited to construction layout, excavating topsoil to subgrade, furnishing and installing an 8" gravel borrow compacted subbase, grading subbase to specified grades per plan, forming and pouring a cement concrete walk to the specified grades per plan, furnishing and installing a 4" layer of screened loam to match the finished grade of the proposed concrete walk and areas disturbed by construction activities, and hydroseeding all loamed and areas disturbed by construction activities. 5. The Contractor is responsible for pulling all applicable Federal, State, and Local permits. Permit fees shall be borne on the Contractor. 6. Work shall be completed during normal daytime work hours, Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. The Contractor shall coordinate their construction schedule around prescheduled community events at Joslin Park, subject to the approval of the DPW Director. 7. All excess material generated during construction will become the property of the Contractor and shall be removed and disposed of in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. 8. All trees and tree root systems shall be protected during construction. The DPW Director must be contacted immediately if trees and/or tree root systems are affected by construction activities. If interference seems possible during construction, then prior to construction, the Contractor shall contact the DPW so that a meeting onsite with the Town's Tree Warden may be scheduled and held with the DPW and awarded Contractor.
