Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a residential development in Salida, Colorado. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; for site work for a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.
The City of Salida, Colorado (the City) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors (the Contractor) to abate asbestos and demolish all buildings and structures (the Project) from properties located at 102 D Street and 233 E. 1st Street (the Properties) in Salida, Colorado. The structures are dilapidated and contain various items of abandoned property and furnishings. This project requires a complete, safe, and legal structure demolition and lot clearing, which includes structural building components, concrete flatwork (except the public sidewalk adjoining the property), any abandoned property and furnishings, and other material within or attached as required by law and in accordance with these specifications. The foundations and footings shall be removed, filled, and graded to allow the property to drain as required by state regulations. The properties shall be cleared of all weeds and landscaping, and prepared for eventual redevelopment. Any questions should be directed to Drew Nelson at drew.nelson@cityofsalida.com. The construction/demolition of this project shall be started no later than August 1, 2023 and completed no later than January 1, 2024. Bids should be titled City of Salida Asbestos Abatement and Demolition Project and submitted to City Hall. Bid Bond of 5% of bid price and Performance and Payment bonds equal to 100% of the bid are required, the project is tax exempt in which the contractor will be provided with the tax exempt number for material purchases.
