The City of Waynesboro (a.k.a "City" or "Owner"), Virginia is seeking proposals from qualified Professional Engineering Firms (a.k.a. "Offeror", "Contractor", or "Company") for services associated with Wastewater System Planning & Engineering Services. The City expects to award one, or more, Professional Services Contract(s) from this solicitation for a one (1) year term. Any resulting contract(s) may possibly be renewed for three (3) additional one (1) year terms under the terms and conditions of this Request for Proposals (RFP) - Code of Virginia 2.2-4303.1. All firms submitting proposals shall abide by all applicable State and Federal laws and be licensed to provide engineering services in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The City does not discriminate against faith-based organizations in accordance with the Code of Virginia, 2.2-4343.1 or against an Offeror because of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, political affiliation, or veteran status or any other basis prohibited by state law relating to discrimination in employment. Faith-based organizations may request that the issuing agency not include subparagraph "1.e" in General Terms and Condition "C". Such request shall be in writing and explain why an exception should be made in this RFP. The City of Waynesboro with a population of approximately 22,500 has a wastewater system serving more than 8,000 customers. The system contains approximately 124 miles of gravity mains. There are 8 pump stations, and 4 miles of force mains. The City operates and maintains a treatment facility that is permitted for 6 million gallons per day (MGD), and capable of treating 6 MGD. The purpose of this RFP is to obtain the services of a qualified professional engineering firm to assist the City in performing professional engineering services, which may include civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and controls, construction administration, on-site construction observation services, associated surveying, environmental, geotechnical, architectural services, and associated sub-contracted services. Work shall be performed in accordance with the regulations, laws, ordinances, and requirements of all governmental agencies and authorities that have jurisdiction over design criteria and environmental impacts applicable to the project. Consultant shall assist the City in obtaining required permits and approvals from State and Federal agencies. Any questions must be e-mailed.
