Renovation of a municipal facility in Redwood City, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The purpose of the White Barn Structural Stabilization Project is to provide construction services for the structural stabilization and repairs to Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District's White Barn located in La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve. The scope of work shall include replacing the roof, repairing damaged siding, stabilizing damaged framing, installing concrete slab-on-grade and foundations, salvaging historic building materials, installing an interpretive window, painting, and installing bat boxes as further detailed and described herein as the Contract Documents. May 10, 2023 - 3:00 p.m. - Final Addendum to Bid Package issued June 14, 2023 - Award of Contract by District Board of Directors; Regular Meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. June 15, 2023 - Written Notice of Award of Contract July 21, 2023 - Deadline to submit Labor and Materials Payment Bond, Performance Bond, Proof of Insurance, and Signed Agreement August 22, 2023 - Pre-Construction Meeting September 1, 2023 - Bat Deterrence (by others) September 18, 2023 - Mobilization November 22, 2023 - Deadline for Substantial Completion December 1, 2023 - Project Close Out & Completion Project Location The White Barn is located within the upper area of La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve. It is approximately 1.4 miles south of the intersection of Bear Gulch Road and Skyline Boulevard/State Route 35. Skyline Boulevard is a paved 2-lane roadway and Bear Gulch Road is a paved one-lane roadway that is surrounded by dense redwood forest. The White Barn must be accessed from District gate LH01 and parking is available in an adjacent small parking area. Although there is a service vehicle road connecting the parking area to the White Barn, open space visitors must walk to the White Barn.
