Site work for a transportation facility in Waynesboro, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The project includes developing site improvements to accommodate two 10-unit nested T-hangars and three separate pads for shed hangars. The scope of work comprises hangar site grading, asphalt pavement construction for the new taxilanes/aprons, airfield taxiway edge lights, and conduit for future hangar utilities. The project also includes the replacement of the airport beacon and electrical vault, and earthwork to relocate surplus site material to the wetland area at the airport's west end. The Burke County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in or reject any or all bids and to award or refrain from awarding the contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Owner's best interest. An 8.5% DBE participation goal is recommended for this project, and bidders are encouraged to include DBE firms in their teams. Written questions will be accepted via email until Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 5:00 pm EDT Bid Security: No Bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or acceptable Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid and made payable to Burke County Board of Commissioners.
