Provide all labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals to construct a utility pad and connect it to a Southern California Edison transformer located across the road from it by means of underground conduit. Location: 4483 Miller Parkway, Moorpark, CA, 93021. Approximately 400 ft south of Maya Circle and 1,400 ft north of Tierra Rejada Road, see attached Site Map for details. Background: The Ventura County Waterworks District No. 1 (District)'s Tierra Rejada Reservoirs site is currently powered by one 270W solar panel and two 100Ah batteries, which provide sufficient power solely for its monitoring and communications equipment. Installation of water mixers or any other additional electrical equipment for the reservoirs requires the site to be connected to the electrical grid. As an additional benefit, having electrical power at the reservoir site would allow the District to lease the property to cellular companies for telecommunication towers. For these reasons, the District is seeking to connect its Tierra Rejada Reservoirs site to a Southern California Edison (SCE) transformer on the west side of Miller Parkway. The District already owns a pair of 1" conduits leading down from the reservoir site to the east side of Miller Parkway. Bringing power to the reservoirs through said conduits thus requires boring or trenching across Miller Parkway to install a 4" conduit connecting the SCE service, on the west side of the road, to a pull box to be installed on the east side of the road. The pull box will then connect to a utility pedestal containing a breaker, meter disconnect, and step-up transformer. The step-up transformer will connect to the District's existing pair of 1" conduits and is the limit of this scope of work.
