The work to be done under this project includes furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary to replace the existing fire sprinkler system for the Pier 2 Shed at Nawiliwili Harbor with a new fire sprinkler system including fire riser, laterals, pendants and connections. Contract Start and End Date shown in the solicitation are estimates. The exact dates shall be provided by written notice from the Harbors Division Construction Engineer. The scope of work consists of replacing the existing fire sprinkler system at the Pier 2 Shed at Harbor with a new fire sprinkler system. The estimated cost of construction is between $350,000 and $450,000. To be eligible for award, bidders must possess a valid State of Hawaii Specialty Contractor's "C-20" license at the time of bidding, or a "C-37" license at the time of bidding when supervised by a licensed mechanical engineer or licensed fire protection contractor. All questions and requests for information (RFI) applicable to the bid documents shall be submitted via no later than 14 calendar days before bid opening. Questions received after the deadline will not be addressed. Verbal RFI will not receive a response. Apprenticeship Preference. A 5% bid adjustment for bidders that are parties to apprenticeship agreements pursuant to 103-55.6, Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS), is applicable to this project. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
