Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a road / highway in San Diego, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

General Description The East Campus Loop Road project is located at UC San Diego's east campus at the campus entrance off of Regents Road and Health Sciences Drive. This project includes re-routing multiple roads with additional site improvements including surface parking, driveways, walkways, landscaping, utilities and grading. This project will re-route Health Sciences Drive as well as Medical Center Drive. It will include the installation of a new round-a-bout intersection at Medical Center Drive as well as modifications to Parking lots P760, P784, P785 and P704. The existing Health Sciences Drive will be transformed into Health Sciences Walk and serve as pedestrian access. There will be utility improvements throughout the project as well as additional retaining walls, landscaping, driveways and turnouts. This project will be completed through 7 primary phases per the McCarthy Phasing Plan provided. *MCCARTHY BUILDING COMPANIES, INC. (McCarthy) is the CM/Contractor for this UC San Diego project and selected through a previous recruitment. McCarthy is responsible for bidding and awarding all subsequent Subcontractor bid packages. The successful Subcontractor Bidder shall sign a Subcontract Agreement directly with McCarthy and shall be bound by all the terms of the contract between the Owner and CM/Contractor. RFI due date and time: March 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
