A. Project Identification: Fire Hydrant Replacement - Town of Kenly. B. Project Summary: Remove and replace approximately 163 fire hydrant assemblies, appurtenances, and mainline gate valves as needed. C. Particular Project Requirements: 1. Existing site conditions and restrictions: Traffic control to ensure worker safety. 2. Requirements for sequencing, scheduling, and completion date: Replacement of hydrants highlighted in the plans are priority items. 3. Owner-purchased, Contractor-installed items: 6 and 8 gate valves. D. Permits and Fees: Apply for, obtain, and pay for permits, fees, and utility company back charges required to perform the work. Submit copies to Engineer. E. Codes: Comply with applicable codes and regulations of authorities having jurisdiction. Submit copies of inspection reports, notices, and similar communications to the Engineer. F. Dimensions: Verify dimensions indicated on drawings with field dimensions before fabrication or ordering of materials. Do not scale drawings. G. Existing Conditions: Notify the Engineer of conditions differing from those indicated on the drawings. Do not remove or alter structural components without prior written approval.
